The Shukela Training Centre is the flagship of training excellence for the sugar industry and provides training to the sugar industry and learners throughout Africa. The Shukela Training Centre in Mount Edgecombe has a vacancy for a Technical Training Officer: Fitter and Turner.

Key performance areas of this position include:
The Technical Training Officer would be joining a large and committed team of technical training specialists and will be responsible for: 

• supervising and instructing Learners;
• conducting assessments and evaluating performance and preparing written evaluation reports for each Learner.

We seek an individual who is passionate about making a contribution to raising the skills level of South Africa and is committed to delivering training excellence. To do this you will need to have:

• Successfully completed a Fitter and Turner Trade test diploma together with demonstrated experience of a strong turning background.
• Accreditation as an Assessor and Facilitator.
• Excellent communication skills to enable you to deliver credible and effective training.
• Proficiency in MS Office packages with particular emphasis on MS Word.
• Proven experience as a Trainer and/or Facilitator.
