The Sugar Terminal, part of the South African Sugar Association's International Marketing Division, has a vacancy for a Stores Administrator at Maydon Wharf in Durban.  The Sugar Terminal is a bulk sugar handling and exporting facility that is ISO 9001 accredited and has a throughput of approximately one million tons of sugar each year. 

The Job

Reporting to the Divisional Finance and Administration Manager, the incumbent is responsible to: ensure that the store is suitably administered and that the receipting and issuing of goods are undertaken in accordance with the store's operating procedures; liaise with the outsourced procurement service providers; monitor supplier performance with reference to quality, service, price and delivery; monitor and endure that optimum stock levels are maintained including diesel; perform ad-hoc finance related tasks.

Requirements

A relevant post matric qualification in warehousing and/or stores management, and a minimum of two year's relevant experience, computer literacy, (including MS Office, Outlook Express and SYSPRO) are essential and prior experience of having worked in an interdisciplinary team environment is advantageous.      

Package

Remuneration is commensurate with a position at a ''mid level operational skill'', at Paterson grade B2 / Task grade 5 / Peromnes grade 14
